I am hoping to get some sewing done this end of the week. I have a couple of table runners I want to finish! I was hoping to finish them in June in order to boost my OPAM finishes! It was not to be, but I am getting excited now thinking that I will be able to add them to my July OPAM score! Lol. I'm a hopeless case! Goodbye June 2010 - Hello July!

Northern Lights
Previous readers of this blog will know that I was a huge fan of Northern Lights last time around. (Two years ago during the Adelaide Festival) Well, it's back. It started last Friday and this year it runs until April 11, so I will be going again for sure. My son-in-law's sister (aren't by marriage relationships funny! I'm not related to her at all, but feel compelled to mention the relationship!) said that this year's Northern Lights was waaaaay better than the last one. I was skeptical. I was truly in love with it last time. How could it be waaaay better? It was! Some of the pictures were a little flowery, but I got over that. Didn't have time to see it all last night, but I can go often. So, here are my least blurry photos.

Northern Lights are returning to Adelaide!
Just cruising around blogland and discovered this exciting news on Michelle Hill's blog. It's old news, but new to me. I went to see Northern Lights last time and truly loved it! We were in the throes of a heatwave at the time and it was just wonderful sitting on the grass late in the evening watching the lights. Can't wait! Apparently there will be even more in 2010. Wow.

Northern Lights
Okay, so my photos are dreadful. I thought I had my camera in my bag when I ran out the door, but it wasn't there! Bradley took these on his trusty phone. I think the kids took photos on their phones too, but getting photos from them is difficult! (Theirs may be better cause teenagers tend to have fancier phones than their Dads do!) I just thought I would post these so you can see (sort of) what the effects on one building were.

In real life there was a lot less blur! The lights were just so beautiful! Great vibrant colours. This building also had a couple of other effects on it that I didn't have photos of. One of my favourites was one with printed music on it. There is a lawn infront of this building and we sat down amongst many other people and gasped when everyone else did when the lights changed. As they changed it was a though one set were turned off and the building was in darkness for a little while and then the new colours jumped out at you!
These lights gave the building a "sketched" appearance.
This one was very disney!

A sunburst!
Another of my favourites, a vine covered building. Sorry for the blurry photos! If you want to get a better idea of how wonderful these lights actually were go to Comfy Cosy (link in my blogs I visit!) and look at her great photography!
