Gardens are magical. (This photo is taken in the Bicentennial Conservatory in the Adelaide Botanical Gardens) Plants are just so beautiful! I have had the opportunity to drive in the hills quite a bit recently and enjoy the colourful autumn trees and falling leaves. So inspiring!
I have been sewing another shaggy flannel quilt this week. I am about halfway through a quilt for Miss 18 and have spent time planning one for Mr 9. It seems that everyone wants one! It has been chilly the last couple of weeks which has increased the value of flannel quilts at our house. We have a long weekend this weekend and I plan to sew!

Believe or not it is a breezy and chilly morning here - not at all like the heat that is starting and will be blasting away for the next four months. A flannel quilt is what I need this morning. Just put them all away in the attic.
Your new blog lay out is great!
Love the new blog layout!
I love flannel quilts - the ultimate in snuggly!
Was the blue flower in bloom at the Conservatory, I think I went there this time of year and right close to one the walk way is this beautiful plant that has this hanging mass of turquoise flowers. And I love all the little birds that run around the bottom. It is lovely in there but I would go anytime other than the dead of winter too hot and steamy.
It's shaping up to be a lovely long weekend. I've been doing a few sewing projects too so I hope to blog about them soon. We are home all weekend doing not much, how lovely!
Cheers - Joolz
I think you've inspired me to start going by an numerical alias. I am no longer c jane I am now Mrs. 77.
Good luck with the shaggy quilt!
I love that photo. Any shot where you can 'see' the sunbeams usually turns out to be a good one.
BTW, came here via cjane...
Hope you got lots done. Love the new layout.
What a great photo! Good to see more gardening Kris. I can do that! x
