A sewing sort of weekend

It started out with me getting these split 9 patches out of hibernation. I sewed them sometime in 2009 or 2010. There were 272 three and a quarter inch squares. Now half of them are together, and back in the box. I just need a little break from them because they are entirely too small to be sewn together!

Next up I made a grandchild sized bunny hat. I'm not entirely happy with this colour, but it was all I could produce at a moment's notice. I think I have discovered a severe deficiency in my fabric stash people! I need a metre or so of every colour of polar fleece for just such emergencies. (I mean whims!)

And I also did a bit of stitching on these doilies. Of course there was also shopping, baking, cooking, attending church and choir practice and all the other usuals. I'm amazed I had time for any sewing at all! How was your weekend?

Hi Kris!

Why dont you like the hat - I think it is rather cute! COlour is just right.

You? Stash problems? I DONT BELIEVE YOU!!! You should see my 'stash' it all fits in a medium suitcase. SMALL stash! Me good ha?

My weekend was filled with boys sport events, Middle boys birthday happenings and lunch with the inner family and even (gasp) a na na nap each day! Little craft but a bit of knitting tonight so that os good : o )

Have a great week lovely one.

My weekend was running errands, sewing charity children clothes and a Ward Dinner. Missed Church today because of severe allergies. (blah). I like the bunny hat!

Another vote for the bunny hat here. It even looks like a bunny sitting there in the photo, all it needs is a tail :)

I love the hat and think it's the perfect colour. I was tempted by some lovely polar fleece at Spotlight last week but managed (just ) to leave it there.

Your doily is gorgeous.

Looks like you had a mad sewing weekend and achieved a lot !
