Knitted Scarf

When we travel far in the car I am always excited about the handwork I'll be able to do! For some reason I always think I'm going to stitch, then I realise that it's just too bumpy to do that well. So I usually end up knitting. This past trip I knitted a scarf. I used 15mm needles (I loooooove fat needles!), three yarns and lattice stitch. So, now there is one more scarf at our house!

Hmm, I have managed to do some stitching in the car, but mainly straight line stuff. Can't knit very well so I don't do that, if it's a long trip I'm very good at sleeping.

very pretty - I like the colors in it. I usually knit on trips too. I always take a million things to stitch and all the treads, beads, etc to go with it - but usually I just unpack it all again when I get home without ever touching it on the trip. Knitting is great because you don't really have to pay attention and you can really accomplish a lot sitting in the car!

Sounds like you had a nice time away. I like knitting in the car. While we were away I managed to do some paper piecing in the car.

What wonderful colors. I have purchased knitting needles & want to learn, but having taken a lesson yet. Sounds like your family vacation was wonderful.
