Busy, busy!

This is what made me so busy. This is Miss 22. She came home last Friday afternoon from her mission (for the church) on Temple Square in Salt Lake City Utah. She has been unwell and wasn't due to come home until February, but received a medical release last week. This is the moment that she met her nephew for the first time at the Adelaide Airport. She was gone for 13 months so there have been some changes. Grandson wasn't even invented when she left!

Mr 7, Miss 11 and Mr 14 have changed the most. Miss 22 was blown away by Mr 14. He has grown about 7 or 8 inches in height since she left, and he now has the deepest voice in the family.

She was so happy to see her sisters. Fortunately all of our kids are pretty close and I think all of them count each other as friends. This is Miss 22 and Miss 18 holding hands! Miss 16 was on a school excursion that she had committed to before we knew Miss 22 was coming home. They caught up with each other after school.

We spent so much time upstairs that Miss 22's luggage was almost the only luggage left. So, our house is a little fuller than it was. A little louder than it was. A little sillier than it was. I guess that's the way we like it!

That is exciting that she is home from her mission. I'm sorry that she is not well and hope she feels better soon.

i'm one of six children (which is a small family to you!) but we are all very close too. I love it and I love that all the cousins get on well now and have formed friendships. louis' best friend is his cousin madi who is 24! I wouldn't trade my family dynamics for anything - not for all the money or houses in the world. they are an absolute treasure.
so glad yours is too.

I reckon your grandson is looking at Miss 22 and thinking 'I know you! You're one of us!'

I'm sure you are all delighted to have her home again.

Hey these photos are just the best. I know I have said it before but we think your family are awesome. It's a shame that she had to come home early from her mission, but it is good that she is now back with her family and has the love and support that she needs. luv Lotti

I am sure you are thrilled to have your daughter home, and lovely for your sons and daughters to have their sister back with them again. I hope she recovers from her ill health very soon, I am sure a few home cooked meals will go down very well! x

Hi Kris. My Miss 17 noticed that your Miss 22 was online and we did the math! Knowing that it hadn't been 18 months, I visited your blog - knew there would be an explanation!

Welcome home Miss 22! - I'm sure Temple Square must have been a never-to-be-forgotten experience. Give that nephew of yours a hug for me - would love to see him in person.
