Who was that masked man?
The sights you see while out shopping! If you saw this at the front of the local bookshop, what would you think? Nothing is what I thought. In fact, I didn't even notice these guys! (I was on a mission!) It was Miss 24 who noticed them and was stopped in her tracks.
Get a load of these three! Now you can place them, huh? Miss 24 is the biggest Star Wars fan I have produced. (I have produced quite a few considering I have never even seen any of the movies myself and don't care for "spaceship" shows at all!) Of course Mr 10 is a huge fan too and was quite happy to pose with these guys outside the Angus and Robertsons bookshop. Miss 24 got all shy on me. Can't think why? Why wouldn't she want to appear randomly on my blog? I am trying to carry my camera with me everywhere this year so I can capture such unexpected moments. I was pretty impressed with myself!

At the shops yesterday......
Continuing on the pretty theme, my Bradley and I were wandering around an electrical store this morning (Looking for an ice cream maker. No ice cream makers, cause it's winter apparently and no-one eats ice cream in winter! Are we just out of step with the world? Cause we eat it non-stop! No matter the weather.) and I pointed out the electric kettle I would buy next time. (Bradley just bought a new electric kettle last weekend cause our old one died. Are you sensing a theme here? Dead electrical/electronic items.) He looked at the "chosen" kettle and said, "What is the difference between that one and the one I bought?" Hmmm...... I wondered how I could casually bring up the pretty thing....... and then he said, "Apart from the fact that this one is prettier than the one I bought they're the same." Oh my goodness! He understands the pretty thing and yet it still isn't a factor!

30 Days of the Everyday : No. 4
There's an awful lot of photo taking at our house. At the park you can hardly get a shot without someone else's camera getting in the way!

A New Camera & Thursdayness
This is the drive home. I snapped and snapped and snapped all the way home. When I downloaded the photos from my camera to the computer today I noticed how dull and dreary the drive home looked! I'm not sure whether that is due to my photography skills or whether I just live in the middle of drabdom. I've never really had a camera of my own before and haven't really had much experience taking photos. I guess I'll get better at it! Whilst on the way home we stopped for fuel. So I even have a photo of the fuel pumps!
Now, for my Thursdayness. Yesterday Picklesticks went and felted all day with some girls from her textile course. She was so excited by what she had learned that she wanted to come over today and show me what she had learned. She also wanted to come over to my place and spin. Not because I'm a spinner and she wanted to use my spinning wheel, but because there is no room in her tiny flat for her spinning wheel so it lives at my house. We invited one of our spinning friends over to join in, so while they spun I knitted. I'm knitting a scarf for my girl who is overseas in the cold! It was a most relaxing day. Knitting is terribly relaxing. Must go knit some more.
