I did a lot of that last year, but want to do more this year.
You are so right about the world becoming collecters of "things".
Take care...enjoy your spring weather. :)Jo-Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09142138647752129047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2006258844310190302.post-89824550440558124052009-10-24T00:39:55.365+10:302009-10-24T00:39:55.365+10:30I love how you put it.."too much emphasis is ...I love how you put it.."too much emphasis is on what we've got & what we're getting". It usually hits full on around November 20th which is why I've never had a homemade Christmas be successful - planning ahead has never been my thing. I will say that a few years ago I did make every gift that I gave to extended family and I loved that.Mary Welsh Hubbardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17404733719240130292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2006258844310190302.post-39617631112218678392009-10-23T21:12:14.384+10:302009-10-23T21:12:14.384+10:30What a lovely post. Love your stitchery .. really nice. Well speaking from experience when you're a single mum, you just have to get used to it .... you don't have a choice. It's probably harder when you only have to do it for a short time.Lottihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08590398670143200396noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2006258844310190302.post-75818802849664720872009-10-23T15:16:20.502+10:302009-10-23T15:16:20.502+10:30Lovely stitcherie...also Love a nice courtyard to ...Lovely stitcherie...also Love a nice courtyard to relax in..
cheersAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00606889686676670393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2006258844310190302.post-74595439414149910992009-10-23T14:48:03.069+10:302009-10-23T14:48:03.069+10:30I love, love, love handmade things - especially se...I love, love, love handmade things - especially seeing as I am not a sewer, knitter etc. I asked my mum (She's nearly 80 now) to make some covered coat hangers for my girls (she knits them with wool and lace) and she thought I was weird - 'won't they think they are old fashioned?' I said 'no, they will love them because you made them just for them'. I noticed when I took her shopping the other day, she had bought the wooden coat hangers so the job is on! She's happy to have something simple to do while watching TV.

Have a nice weekend - my baby turns 16 today and she just got her 'L's today! Still thinking about the kids Christmas outfits, more felt Christmas decorations and trying to get the baby's quilt done within the next 6 weeks. Maybe the secret to a handmade Christmas is to make one project each month specifically for Christmas pressies?!Nellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07447109846776188729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2006258844310190302.post-34449464416083169382009-10-23T13:44:43.466+10:302009-10-23T13:44:43.466+10:30Kris, in't it lovely to be able to consider bb...Kris, in't it lovely to be able to consider bbq's again.
